Just watched Allegria on arts central. it was fantastic.

but my brother thought otherwise. he termed it as "enslavement" and argued that the performers look unhappy. nevertheless, he enjoyed and marvelled at the stunts which all seemed humanly impossible.

the performers with their painted faces and masks have taken on a totally unique personality on stage. they do not smile because they are already given a stage personality. not because they are unhappy. it got a hypnotic effect...everything seems out of the world. good escapism.

put on a mask and -tada- u are no longer who you are. some pple are exceptionally good at this.

experts dun need makeup.
